Saving Money and Optimizing Value

Project Wedding (www.projectwedding.com) recently published a lovely article on how to save money with respect to the food you serve at your reception. There are many things to think about when it comes to planning what everyone is going to eat.

One would not usually think that the timing of day would be such a huge influence on how much things cost. However, it actually has a huge impact. If your reception is in the morning, people are less likely to have a huge appetite, and you will be able to get away with less food with more of a bang for your buck. You could possibly serve tiny items, which are interesting and fun, rather than a huge meal which will definitely cost you more. So if you're looking at a dinner reception, expect to spend a bit more money.

As well, you have to think about the theme of your wedding. Each theme sets a different tone at the wedding, where different food is expected to be served. Depending on what food is expected, you will have to spend certain amounts of money.
